The Council of Ministers Approves the Kingdom's Accession to the International Labour Organization Convention on the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health

مجلس الوزراء يوافق على انضمام المملكة إلى اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية بشأن الإطار الترويجي للسلامة والصحة المهنية

The Council of Ministers, in its session held on Tuesday 16 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to 26 March 2024, approved Saudi Arabia's accession to International Labour Organization Convention No. 187 on the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health, 2006, which aims to promote workplace safety and health and provide a safe and healthy working environment for workers worldwide. The convention sets a general framework and guiding principles requiring member states to adopt legislation, policies, and programs promoting occupational safety and health, while affirming employers' general responsibility to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
