Social / Active Roles Played by the Kingdom to Promote the Importance of Occupational Safety and Health Globally

Saudi Arabia, through the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development represented by the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, has launched initiatives to sustain occupational safety and health requirements, including the "OSH Cadres" initiative offering practitioner and professional tracks, and a research and innovation center established with Umm Al-Qura University. Other projects include drafting occupational health services legislation, and developing a list of high-risk professions under Article 131 bis of the Labor Law, alongside training and reporting-system initiatives. The Kingdom marks World Day for Safety and Health, observed on April 28 each year.
