The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) announced the signing of a handover record for the first site for the establishment and operation of sorting, treatment and recycling stations for solid municipal waste, based on a memorandum of understanding between the Eastern Province Municipality and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC). The memorandum aims to manage and collect waste in the Eastern Province through modern technologies for sorting, treatment, recycling and disposal, and to conduct the necessary studies for investment in the sector; Mwan separately signed a memorandum of understanding with SIRC aimed at ongoing cooperation to drive investment and develop the sector.
