The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) announced updates to its licensing and permits system: review time for applications requiring field visits was cut to five working days, while applications not requiring a field visit are reviewed within 48 hours. The system now allows facilities to choose a license/permit validity of one, two, or three years, permits renewal to begin 90 days before expiry, and offers electronic payment via the Sadad system. Recent output includes 40 licenses issued in one day, about 343 in a week, and 326 within 15 days.
