The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) held in Riyadh the closing workshop for its "Comprehensive Solution for Construction and Demolition Waste Management" initiative, with about 30 participating entities, addressing waste that makes up over 30% of total waste in the Kingdom. The workshop covered four pillars: a technical solutions package of 15 initiatives, a digitization package of 4 initiatives, an economy/investment package of 3 initiatives plus 72 investment opportunities in construction and demolition waste, and a governance package recommending a coordination committee alongside 13 initiatives and an implementation roadmap; the initiative began in November of the previous year.
