The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) launched the "#Ramadan_Without_Waste" awareness campaign on social media starting 2 Ramadan 2023, aimed at reducing food waste and the resulting waste generation during Ramadan, including a Twitter challenge encouraging individuals to pledge against food waste. Mwan targets excluding 82% of waste from landfills by 2035.
