Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, chaired a meeting at the emirate headquarters in Jeddah reviewing the role of the National Center for Waste Management, attended by its CEO Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabaei. The CEO of the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), Eng. Ziad Al-Shiha, presented investment plans of SAR 12 to 14 billion in Makkah Region over 15 years, targeting a landfill-diversion rate of about 94%.
