The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) conducted 6,512 inspection tours during 2023, resulting in citations against 1,640 facilities, to verify compliance with the Waste Management Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/3) dated 5/1/1443 AH and its Implementing Regulation. Mwan targets excluding 90% of waste from landfills by 2040.
