"Mwan" Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Investment and a German Company to Address Challenges in the Waste Management Sector

The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Investment and the German company GI Aqua Tech to address challenges in the waste management sector, creating an investment opportunity worth EUR 150 million and 2,000 jobs. GI Aqua Tech, which recently won the "Best Industrial Water Treatment Project in the World for 2024" award, developed GI Nano technology and mobile treatment stations under Mwan's oversight to treat liquid slaughterhouse waste stored from the Hajj season, with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per day on a 50-square-meter area and 100% recycling of treated output.
