The National Center for Waste Management (Mwan) resumed its work for the 1444 AH Hajj season, aiming for full implementation of the Waste Management System and its Implementing Regulation. Its initiatives include solid municipal waste management, reuse of ihrams, reducing waste generation, promoting waste-conscious behavior and recycling, and enabling safe disposal of slaughterhouse waste. CEO Dr. Abdullah Al-Sabai said the goal is to raise awareness and compliance and reduce waste production through effective resource management and recycling.
