Ministry of Municipalities and Housing Launches the Third Edition of the Municipal Performance Excellence Award for 2026

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing launched the third edition of the Municipal Performance Excellence Award for 2026, aimed at strengthening institutional excellence in the municipal sector and encouraging competitiveness among municipalities. The award includes three main categories (gold, silver, and bronze), alongside qualitative tracks covering operational efficiency, community participation, and municipal media, and targets regional and governorate municipalities across the Kingdom. Results of the third edition and recognition of winning entities will be announced in January 2027. In the 2025 edition, Hail region municipality placed first, followed by Qassim region municipality in second and the Eastern Region municipality in third.
