Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: Development of 6 Million m² of Public Parks and a Financial Impact of SAR 2.4 Billion During 2025

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced the development of approximately 6 million m² of public parks across various regions of Saudi Arabia over the past three years through 2025, achieving a financial impact estimated at SAR 2.4 billion during 2025. The development was carried out via investment models in partnership with the private sector, which also covers part of operating and maintenance costs and delivers capital savings through private-sector construction and operation. The Ministry, working in coordination with municipal authorities, aims to expand these parks into integrated urban platforms offering recreational, sports, cultural, and commercial activities, while preserving their open, community-serving character and promoting sustainable financial models through the investment portal "Fursa".
