Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: Implementation of More Than 11 Million Linear Meters and Raising the Readiness of 74 Million m² of Roads in Makkah and the Holy Sites for Hajj 1447 AH

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced completion of road and infrastructure readiness in Makkah and the Holy Sites for the Hajj 1447 AH season, including implementation of more than 11 million linear meters of roads, treatment and development of nearly 74 million m² of road surfaces, and asphalting of more than 1.2 million m². The plan also raised the readiness of 123 bridges and 44 pedestrian and vehicle tunnels, aiming to improve traffic safety and mobility efficiency in high-density locations during the season.
