Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: More than 51,000 Saudi families have occupied their first home from the beginning of 2026 through the end of May

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that 51,072 Saudi families occupied their first home from the beginning of 2026 through the end of May, with 38,471 families benefiting from housing support services in the same period. Total supported contracts for beneficiaries since the launch of the Sakani program in 2017 through the end of May 2026 reached 1,040,215 contracts, with Riyadh region accounting for the largest share, followed by Makkah, then the Eastern Region, then Jazan. The Ministry stated that the home ownership rate among Saudi families reached 66.24% by the end of 2025, progressing toward the Housing Program's target of 70%.
