Ministry of Municipalities and Housing: Renewal of Commercial Licenses Electronically via the "Baladi" Platform

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that commercial license renewal is available electronically via the "Baladi" platform, accessed through the unified national access (Absher). The ministry spokesperson stated that renewal requires proof of right to use the site (a registered lease on the "Ejar" platform, title deed, or investment contract) plus compliance with civil-defense "Salama" platform requirements, and that licenses can be renewed up to 90 days before expiry, as well as after expiry under applicable rules. The platform also allows electronic cancellation of commercial licenses, and renewal requires the commercial registration to be valid.
