The Minister of Hajj and Umrah is awarded the “Hijri Personality of the Year” medal at the international level from Malaysia.

The Federation of Malaysia awarded the “Hijri Personality of the Year at the International Level” medal to His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, in recognition of the Kingdom’s outstanding efforts and impactful contributions in developing the Hajj and Umrah system, enhancing the experience of the guests of the Two Holy Mosques. The honor was presented during the official ceremony held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, on the occasion of the Hijri New Year 1447 AH, under the patronage of the King of Malaysia, Ibrahim bin Iskandar, and under the theme “Building a Civil Nation.” His Excellency received the medal from the King, in the presence of the Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Dr. Muhammad Na’im bin Haji Mukhtar. The award was granted to the Minister of Hajj and Umrah as part of the “Hijri Personality Award,” which is presented annually to two distinguished figures, one Malaysian and one from outside Malaysia, in recognition of their positive contributions to serving communities and promoting noble Islamic values. The award is one of the most prominent official honors in Malaysia and is granted in conjunction with the commemoration of the Prophet’s Hijra, honoring those who have made a significant impact in society, particularly in serving Islam. This medal represents an international recognition for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its tireless efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and facilitating the performance of Hajj and Umrah for Muslims from around the world, within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, and enhancing the status of the two holy cities, Mecca and Medina, as centers of spiritual and civilizational influence in the Islamic world.
