In coordination with all relevant authorities, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has been overseeing the transportation of approximately 1.9 million pilgrims between Makkah and the holy sites. This involves multiple plans and routes to ensure smooth and efficient transport. The Ministry's plan includes mechanisms to transport around 800,000 pilgrims from Makkah to Mina, following specified routes and schedules. Additionally, approximately 750,000 pilgrims have been transported to Arafah, and arrangements have been made to transfer 700,000 hastening pilgrims from Arafah to Mina. This includes three transport options: shuttle transport, traditional transport, and the Mashair Train, which is expected to carry more than 300,000 pilgrims. The Ministry will continue to monitor and supervise these plans and programs throughout the season. Companies failing to adhere to the predetermined schedules will face penalties. To prevent delays, the Ministry will deploy its "Al-Isnaad" buses, numbering around 1,400, each carrying approximately 188 pilgrims. Non-compliant companies will bear the additional costs.
