His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Mashat, emphasized during his speech at the 24th Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit Research, held at Umm Al-Qura University in the King Abdulaziz Historical Hall, the importance of the continuous efforts made by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to develop the services provided to the guests of the Two Holy Mosques. He pointed out that the forum represents a pioneering platform that allows the presentation of research with significant impact on the Hajj system, involving local and international cadres. Dr. Mashat explained that the Ministry is working on improving transportation efficiency through the application of advanced systems such as smart cards on buses, which contributes to enhancing performance and reducing challenges. He also stressed the importance of completing the shuttle transport projects that enhance mobility efficiency and ensure smooth movement of pilgrims and Umrah performers. He noted that the success of transport and crowd management depends on an integrated system linking crowd management, buses, and infrastructure, especially during peak periods such as Arafat Day and the days of Nafr. He added that the Ministry is investing in modern technologies such as tracking systems (GPS) and big data analysis to guide crowds and improve overall transport efficiency. His Excellency highlighted the vital role of national competencies in the success of Hajj seasons, through improving logistics operations and effectively managing crowds. He pointed out that the accumulated expertise within the Ministry has greatly contributed to enhancing operational performance and achieving outstanding results in organizing the movement of the guests of the Two Holy Mosques. Dr. Mashat concluded his speech by affirming the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s commitment to continue innovation and service development to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, ensuring the provision of a distinguished and safe experience for the guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
