Today, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah held, via video conference, the 17th regular meeting with Saudi Umrah companies, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, on the occasion of concluding the Umrah season for 1447 H. The meeting was attended by several ministry leaders and representatives of Umrah companies, within the framework of enhancing partnership with the sector, evaluating the season’s results, and reviewing the key achievements and challenges. The meeting began with a speech by His Excellency the Minister, during which he commended the efforts of the Umrah companies and their cooperation during Ramadan, noting their contributions to serving pilgrims, addressing issues of stranded pilgrims, and ensuring their return to their destinations. He emphasized the importance of continuing compliance with the regulations and instructions governing the Umrah season, including scheduling pilgrims’ departures to airports on time, continuously updating their departure data via the “Nusuk Masar” platform, and encouraged companies to participate actively in the third edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum. He stressed the rules regulating the Hajj season, confirming that Hajj can only be performed with a valid Hajj visa, and cannot be performed with an Umrah visa, while reminding of the organizational dates for the Umrah season: the last issuance of Umrah visas will be on the 1st of Shawwal, the last entry for pilgrims into the Kingdom on the 15th of Shawwal, and the last date to remain in the Kingdom on the 1st of Dhu al-Qi’dah. The meeting included a presentation of the main indicators of the Umrah season and the achievements attained, as well as preparations for the third edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum in 2026, highlighting the forum’s role in supporting partnerships, exchanging experiences, and reviewing available opportunities to advance the Umrah and Visit services system. This meeting is part of the regular meetings organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah with Umrah companies, aiming to enhance communication with sector partners and follow up on the development of services provided to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to elevate the experience of Umrah performers and visitors.
