The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, concluded the Seasonal Professions Forum in Service of Pilgrims, hosted by Umm Al-Qura University at King Saud Hall in Makkah; the forum aimed to enhance professional readiness and qualify national competencies for employment in various professions. The three-day forum produced qualitative outcomes, including offering more than 25,000 seasonal job opportunities across 15 career tracks, with participation from 26 entities from both the public and private sectors linked to the Hajj and Umrah system. More than 10,000 applicants received direct recruitment opportunities and job offers, exceeding the target of 5,000 jobs, enabling several entities to fill their professional vacancies at a 100% rate, reflecting the efficiency of matching operational needs with qualified competencies. The forum contributed to building a national database of seasonal competencies with over 25,000 applicants. Additionally, more than 10,000 participants benefited from the “Seasonal Tracks” career guidance programs to assess their job competencies and direct them to suitable career paths. Similar numbers participated in specialized workshops and training courses. The forum also organized five discussion panels with over 25 speakers, including specialists and experts, discussing mechanisms for recruiting and qualifying human resources, as well as training needs for seasonal work within the Hajj and Umrah system. The ministry confirmed the continued efforts to develop the seasonal professions system and build upon the forum’s outputs, in cooperation with its partners, to ensure sustainable opportunities and enhance the readiness of national competencies.
