Press Briefing of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah During His Official Visit to Tajikistan

During a joint press conference with Mr. Suleyman Zada, Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Traditions, Celebrations, and Ceremonies, His Excellency Dr. Tawfig bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, announced practical steps and joint agreements aimed at facilitating the pilgrimage journey for guests of Allah from Tajikistan. During the briefing, His Excellency revealed that the number of pilgrims arriving from the Republic of Tajikistan reached 115,000 during 2023. The Minister of Hajj and Umrah discussed with the Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs mechanisms to benefit from facilities that serve the pilgrims from Tajikistan. The joint press conference concluded with the signing of an updated aviation agreement between the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation and the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan, launching direct flights between the cities of Dushanbe and Jeddah at three flights per week starting from the first quarter of 2025. The agreement also included plans to develop the operational framework for Umrah, with the aim of increasing the number of Tajik pilgrims.
