Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Saudi-Indonesian Umrah Companies Meeting was held today at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce in Makkah, as part of the initiatives of the Third Edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum. The meeting included participation from several Saudi and Indonesian Umrah companies, with over 400 participants representing various sectors linked to the Umrah and Visit services system. The meeting aims to enhance institutional cooperation between relevant entities in the Umrah sector in Indonesia and their counterparts in Saudi Arabia, improve institutional coordination, and unify concepts and procedures, thereby contributing to elevating the quality of the pilgrims’ experience for Indonesian Umrah performers and visitors. The meeting included an accompanying exhibition, with participation from 24 exhibiting entities representing service providers in sectors such as transportation, hotels, enrichment destinations, and other sectors related to the Umrah and Visit services system. The participating entities showcased their services, initiatives, and operational solutions, and explored opportunities for cooperation and integration, reflecting the diversity of the services offered. Specialized workshops were held during the meeting covering several key topics, most notably the development of historical sites and enrichment destinations within Umrah programs, reviewing associated operational challenges, discussing the behaviors, preferences, and expectations of Indonesian pilgrims, and options for designing Umrah packages that meet their needs and enhance the quality of their experience. This meeting is part of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation with international partners, enhance coordination among entities in the Umrah sector, and develop the services provided to pilgrims and visitors, in line with the directives of the Wise Leadership – may God protect them – to improve the quality of the experience, support the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and affirm the Kingdom’s pioneering role in serving pilgrims.
