Minister of Hajj and Umrah visits the Exhibition of the Two Holy Mosques System at King Abdulaziz University

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, visited the Exhibition of the Two Holy Mosques and Holy Sites System at King Abdulaziz University, which includes projects related to three tracks: the health and safety of the Guests of Allah, enriching and improving the pilgrim and Umrah performer journey, and developing the infrastructure of the holy sites. He was received by the University President, Dr. Tarif bin Youssef Al-Aama, the vice presidents, a number of university leaders, faculty members, academic and research staff, and students participating in the exhibited projects. He toured the exhibition, which includes projects such as the “Raqeeb” health project, the use of deep learning to estimate mixing rates in public places and crowds in the Kingdom, combating black grasshopper insects in Makkah and the holy sites, and meeting pilgrims’ nutritional needs through digital solutions. The enrichment and journey improvement track includes smart design of pilgrims’ luggage, the “Tammu” project to enhance pilgrims’ experience, the Sirwa platform, a proposed project for sterilizing the Two Holy Mosques, and monitoring cleanliness in pilgrims’ housing using artificial intelligence. The infrastructure development track consists of the energy pathway project, understanding changing locations in large-scale pilgrim interactions with service points, and detecting urban heat islands and their relationship to pedestrian networks using remote sensing technology. Afterwards, His Excellency held an open meeting with faculty members and students, discussing leadership keys in the modern era, principles of successful leadership, essential skills, and sharing practical experiences and advice to enhance impact and inspiration in work and society, as well as highlighting paths to excellence and guiding students to build distinguished career paths and become future leaders.
