Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Al-Madinah Region, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in partnership with the Pilgrims Experience Program, is organizing the third edition of the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum from 30 March to 1 April at the King Salman International Convention Center, under the theme “A Story Told at Every Stop,” with wide participation from specialists and decision-makers from around the world. The forum comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to develop the pilgrim services ecosystem and enhance the quality of services provided to Umrah performers and visitors, reflecting Al-Madinah’s growing status as a global destination combining spiritual depth, rich heritage, and a comprehensive cultural experience. The forum reinforces its role as a comprehensive platform for all stakeholders in the Umrah and Ziyarah ecosystem, bringing together government entities, the private sector, and the non-profit sector, alongside entrepreneurs and innovators in an integrated environment that contributes to shaping the future of the sector. The forum is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors, with the participation of 150 exhibitors and 160 speakers, in addition to organizing more than 50 workshops and signing around 5,000 agreements, reflecting the growing economic momentum in the sector. The forum program includes a series of specialized panel discussions addressing the most prominent transformations in the sector, ranging from developing business models and enhancing air connectivity to Makkah and Al-Madinah, to employing artificial intelligence technologies to improve the experience of Umrah performers and visitors. It also covers the development of hospitality sectors, real estate destinations, improving health readiness, and strengthening Al-Madinah’s position as a global cultural destination. This year’s edition witnesses a qualitative expansion, including the introduction of new sectors that reflect the diversity of opportunities within the Umrah and Ziyarah ecosystem, alongside broad international participation, enhancing knowledge exchange and building strategic partnerships at the global level. In partnership with the King Abdulaziz Foundation, the forum hosts the Historical Sites in the Prophetic Biography Forum, which focuses on documenting sites related to the Prophet’s biography and presenting them through modern, technology-supported methods, enhancing the cultural and knowledge dimensions of the visitor experience and reinforcing the historical connection to Islamic sites. The Umrah and Ziyarah Forum serves as a platform to support innovation, enhance integration, and promote excellence in the Umrah and Ziyarah ecosystem, contributing to a smoother and richer experience for pilgrims from around the world, in line with the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
