The Minister of Hajj and Umrah inspects the holy sites and reviews the readiness of Arafat

His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, conducted a field tour of several sites in the Holy Sites as part of following up on the field preparations for Hajj 1446 AH, ensuring the readiness of camps, facilities, and services before the arrival of pilgrims to Arafat tomorrow. The tour included an on-site inspection of Arafat to receive pilgrims, reviewing the efficiency of camps, accommodation facilities, and logistical services, as well as the integration of health, technical, and service preparations to ensure a smooth and peaceful performance of rituals. He monitored the shading and cooling project around Namirah Mosque, a specialized project aimed at improving the Arafat environment, covering an area of 85,000 square meters, including 320 shades, 350 mist fans, and planting 2,000 trees in the eastern courtyards to expand vegetation coverage and enhance the pilgrims’ comfort. A fully integrated infrastructure was prepared to support the project, including water and electricity networks to ensure sustainable operation. At the conclusion of the tour, he stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between the participating authorities, working according to the highest operational efficiency standards to serve the Guests of Allah, in line with the directives of the wise leadership, aiming to achieve a model Hajj season that reflects the Kingdom’s status and leadership in managing this great ritual.
