The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah held today a meeting chaired by His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, bringing together the various Hajj companies as part of the Ministry’s preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Makkah. His Excellency affirmed that the Hajj Services sector enjoys the attention and follow-up of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may Allah preserve them – with careful and precise oversight of all work related to the comfort and service of the Guests of Allah arriving from all over the world. Dr. Al-Rabiah reviewed all preparations and discussed the detailed matters related to this year’s Hajj season 1446 AH, praising the precise follow-up of all preparations by the Supreme Hajj Committee chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, and expressed his gratitude to the companies for their efforts and keenness in serving the Guests of Allah, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to honoring outstanding and innovative companies in their service and care. He stressed the necessity of continuing close monitoring of the services provided to pilgrims, harnessing everything that facilitates their comfort and care, and working on continuous improvement and development to enhance the quality of services offered, including reception and arrival services, accommodation, catering, transportation and mobility, guidance and support, from their arrival in the Kingdom until the completion of their rituals and their departure to their countries safely under Allah’s protection. The Minister of Hajj and Umrah emphasized the importance of discipline and adherence to approved transportation and movement schedules, which will reflect on the smooth flow of pilgrims between the holy sites and during the performance of rituals, as well as significantly contributing to raising awareness and training pilgrims before and during their arrival, and familiarizing them with the importance of the “Nusuk Card” and the obligation to carry it to ensure access to services easily and conveniently at all stages of their journey in coordination with the Ministry and Hajj Affairs offices, in addition to their contribution to the “No Hajj Without a Permit” campaign to prevent unauthorized pilgrims from entering the holy sites. He also highlighted the Ministry’s compliance teams based on self-assessment and follow-up teams, which will start their rounds at Hajj service companies starting from the 10th of Shawwal, to ensure operational readiness of the services provided by the companies, and to monitor any negligence or laxity that may affect the services offered to the Guests of Allah and their spiritual journey. His Excellency confirmed that the Ministry will be strict in holding negligent companies accountable if deficiencies or violations are detected, and will not hesitate to apply penalties against negligent companies, including revoking or canceling the company’s license to provide services permanently, and preventing them from serving pilgrims in any form.
