Minister of Hajj and Umrah Signs Protocol for Handover of the Kaaba's Kiswah

On Monday, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region, handed over the Kaaba's Kiswah to the custodians of Allah's Sacred House on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The handover protocols were signed by Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, and Abdul Malik Al-Shaibi, Deputy Chief Custodian of Allah's Sacred House. This event marks the upcoming replacement of the Kaaba's Kiswah on the first of Muharram 1446 AH, following its completion at the King Abdulaziz Complex for Manufacturing the Kaaba's Kiswah. The Kiswah, made from natural silk dyed black, is 14 meters high with a 95-centimeter-wide and 47-meter-long belt in the upper third. The belt comprises 16 pieces and is adorned with square-shaped Islamic decorations.
