His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Meets with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia in Moscow

During his official visit to the Russian Federation, His Excellency Dr. Tawfig bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, met with Her Excellency Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, in Moscow. The meeting was attended by Ilyas Umakhanov, member of the Federation Council and Commissioner of the Hajj Affairs Committee of the Russian government. The meeting discussed ways of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation to facilitate Umrah and visitation procedures for Russian pilgrims. Several mechanisms and programs aimed at improving and easing services provided to the guests of Allah were reviewed. Minister Al-Rabiah emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in the field of Umrah, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing the best services and standards to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims. Both sides also discussed ways to enhance the overall experience for visitors, including providing necessary support and information to ensure a smooth and spiritual journey. Ms. Matviyenko expressed her appreciation for the existing cooperation between the two countries in the field of Hajj and Umrah, commending Saudi initiatives to facilitate access to services and provide the necessary care for pilgrims. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the need to strengthen the partnership between both sides and develop joint mechanisms to ensure the best possible experience for Russian pilgrims during their Umrah journey.
