The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah wins first place in the National Excellence Award for People with Physical Disabilities

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has won the National Excellence Award for People with Physical Disabilities in the government entities track (first place), in recognition of the pioneering efforts and distinguished initiatives provided by the ministry in serving persons with disabilities and enabling them to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals with comfort and confidence. This award reflects the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s commitment to providing an inclusive environment and facilitating services for pilgrims with disabilities, through the development of dedicated pathways, and the provision of supportive tools and services such as wheelchairs, sign language guides, and smart applications that ease their movement during the rituals. His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdul Fattah Mashat, emphasized upon receiving the award that this recognition comes as a culmination of continuous efforts within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to provide a distinguished and inclusive experience for pilgrims, noting that the ministry will continue to develop initiatives supporting this valuable segment of society. This award constitutes a new achievement added to the ministry’s record of accomplishments and is evidence of its ongoing commitment to serving all categories of pilgrims, ensuring their comfort and dignity during the performance of the sacred rites.
