"Coming for Umrah" Campaign: Distribution of More Than 800,000 Awareness and Guidance Flyers to Pilgrims and Visitors Within a Month
حملة "جاي للعمرة": توزيع أكثر من 800 ألف منشور توعوي وإرشادي للمعتمرين والزائرين خلال شهر
The "Coming to Umrah" campaign has distributed more than 800,000 awareness and guidance leaflets to Umrah performers and visitors across multiple locations in Makkah and Madinah, as well as air and land ports, since the campaign's launch at the beginning of the past month of Ramadan. The campaign's pavilion, participating in the "Umrah and Ziyarah" Forum held at the King Salman Convention Center in Madinah, provides visitors to the accompanying exhibition with an introduction to the diverse services offered by the campaign. These include raising awareness regarding the stages of performing Umrah, the Sharia aspects of the rituals, how to reach the Grand Mosque, available means of transportation, and the steps a performer must follow upon arrival at the Grand Mosque. The campaign, supervised and implemented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah through publications in 8 languages—including Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Bengali, Indonesian, Turkish, and Hindi—also introduces the etiquette of being present in the Two Holy Mosques and the most important ethics of the Umrah journey. It emphasizes the importance of respecting others' privacy by refraining from filming, maintaining tranquility in the Two Holy Mosques, acting with patience and kindness, avoiding crowds, arguments, and anger, and not responding to beggars, while directing charities through official channels and approved platforms in the Kingdom. Furthermore, the campaign provides exhibition visitors with an introduction to the most prominent services available in the fields of booking Haramain High-Speed Railway tickets, moving within the Central Area at an economical cost, and using the bus network, its routes, and the locations for distributing circumambulation (Tawaf) wheelchairs available for those who need them, such as the elderly and persons with disabilities, along with the booking mechanism. Additionally, it offers guidance on how to leave the state of ritual sanctity (Tahallul) and performing ritual washing (Ghusl), along with an interactive map of movement in the Grand Mosque that includes the mosque's gates, the Mataf, escalators, entry points for persons with disabilities, manual wheelchair distribution points, guidance points for the lost, and first aid centers.
