The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will launch tomorrow the first edition of the Non-Profit Sector Forum in Service of the Guests of Allah, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce in Makkah as the hosting sponsor of the forum. The event will include participation from several ministers, officials representing government entities, non-profit organizations, the private sector, and donors. The forum is organized within the framework of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s role in empowering the non-profit sector and enhancing its presence as an active partner within the system serving the Guests of Allah. The Ministry supervises the work of more than 100 associations operating in various fields to serve pilgrims, umrah performers, and visitors, through building partnerships, stimulating innovative initiatives, and fostering integrated work between government, private, and non-profit sectors, contributing to improving the efficiency of the system and developing service models. The forum aims to develop the institutional capacities of non-profit organizations and raise their organizational and operational readiness, enhance knowledge and experience exchange by reviewing field experiences and best practices, and sharing success stories. It also seeks to enable endowments and donors to adopt innovative funding and investment models that ensure sustainable qualitative impact in serving the Guests of Allah. Furthermore, it aims to document and activate strategic partnerships between government entities, non-profit organizations, and the private sector, highlighting distinguished initiatives and models that have contributed to improving the quality of the Guests of Allah’s experience. The forum program includes a variety of activities, including dialogue sessions discussing issues related to developing the system serving the Guests of Allah and enhancing the role of the non-profit sector, alongside the convening of the Hajj and Umrah Council, which reviews general trends and strengthens integration among relevant entities. The program also includes three specialized workshops aimed at capacity building and raising institutional readiness, in addition to an accompanying exhibition allowing participating entities to showcase their initiatives and projects, as well as the signing of several agreements that contribute to documenting partnerships and enhancing cooperation between sectors.
