The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Organizes Second Meeting with Umrah Companies and Institutions

Continuing from the first meeting with its private sector partners, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in cooperation with the Pilgrim Experience Program—one of Saudi Vision 2030's initiatives—held the "Second Meeting" today with Umrah companies and institutions. The event was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Tawfig bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, at the ministry's headquarters in Makkah. The meeting is part of the ministry's strategy to develop and improve the experience for the guests of Allah, enabling the private sector to offer Umrah services throughout the year, in addition to simplifying procedures within a framework that ensures compliance and commitment to standards during the pilgrim's journey. The meeting reviewed key challenges and solutions to ensure the best services are provided, adhering to the highest quality standards to enrich and improve the Umrah experience. It also introduced companies and institutions to updated tools and metrics for monitoring their operations, as well as the strategic directions for Umrah 1446H, including key pillars and targets through the launch of several innovative services. During the meeting, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the "Direct Umrah Program," aimed at enabling Umrah companies and institutions to serve pilgrims directly with the highest quality standards, without intermediaries between beneficiaries and service providers. The program seeks to enhance the pilgrim's journey by visiting cultural and historical sites related to the Prophet's biography and discovering Saudi Arabia's attractive landmarks and places. The program also aims to support and empower service providers, encouraging companies to adopt a professional destination management and trip organization model. This comes after reaching a record number of 13.5 million pilgrims in the past year, 2023. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah continues its efforts as part of the guests of Allah Service System, aiming to enable as many people as possible to perform Umrah and visits annually, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals, and to provide an enriched and unique spiritual journey experience for pilgrims and visitors.
