The first sessions of the fourth and final day of the Hajj Conference 2025 opened with a panel discussion reviewing strategies for the transition to smart cities, transformation solutions, and their applications in developing facilities and infrastructure. The session addressed the role of smart solutions in managing facilities, transportation, and energy. It also explored investment opportunities and trends within the Hajj services ecosystem, market trends in system development, and the role of the private sector in developing infrastructure and supporting Hajj services. The main session of the day, titled “Integration of Technologies and Financial Solutions,” highlighted digital wallet technologies and electronic payment systems that enable transactions with ease and security, emphasizing the role of central banks in regulating digital financial services and ensuring their safety and efficiency. In the session “Sustainability of Development Projects in the Hajj Sector,” speakers highlighted opportunities to enhance strategic investments in the Hajj sector to improve infrastructure, facilities, and services provided to pilgrims, as well as ways to increase economic, environmental, and social returns from projects and investments in the Hajj sector. The session “Proactive Approach in Hajj Services: Quality and Efficiency of Services” discussed the importance of foresight and proactive planning to deliver solutions and services that meet the needs of the guests of the Two Holy Mosques, applying global quality standards and developing human competencies for continuous improvement. A specialized session presented by the Executive Vice President for Nusuk Performance, Engineer Hani bin Ahmed Dahan, discussed the future aspirations for crowd management systems at the Two Holy Mosques and holy sites, initiatives that have enhanced the pilgrims’ experience and facilitated their journey, investment strategies in the hospitality services sector for Hajj and Umrah, and the role of leading companies in setting new standards of excellence in hospitality, highlighting innovative integrated solutions to meet pilgrims’ needs and improve their experience. The sessions concluded with a panel titled “Non-Profit Waqf Organizations in Hajj: Insights for Development and Integration,” addressing the contribution of non-profit sector organizations in supporting the Hajj services ecosystem, and examples of waqf and non-profit sector contributions in supporting and developing Hajj services.
