وزارة الحج والعمرة: إيقاف شركتي عمرة لمخالفة التزامات السكن للمعتمرين
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the suspension of two Umrah companies after detecting a violation consisting of failure to provide accommodation services for pilgrims according to the approved contractual programs. It confirmed that, in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, legal measures are being taken against the external agents contracted with the two companies. The ministry noted that some pilgrims arriving from the Arab Republic of Egypt reached the Kingdom without the approved accommodation, despite these services being documented within the contractual programs, which constitutes a clear violation of the regulations governing services for pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque. The ministry confirmed that it immediately secured accommodation for all affected pilgrims, adding that the measures were taken promptly according to the approved legal frameworks, ensuring the protection of the rights of the affected pilgrims, preventing the recurrence of such violations, and enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims. It clarified that this procedure comes as an extension of its ongoing efforts to monitor the commitment of Umrah companies and institutions in accurately implementing their approved contracts and its keenness to improve the level of services provided to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The ministry emphasized that it will not tolerate any negligence or breach of contractual obligations, affirming that the rights of pilgrims are a top priority, and the quality of services provided represents a red line that must not be crossed, urging all Umrah companies and institutions to fully comply with the approved regulations and instructions, and to provide services according to the contracted programs.
