Saudi Minister of Finance Concludes Participation at 2026 OPEC Fund for Development Forum and 47th Ministerial Council

Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan concluded his participation at the 2026 OPEC Fund for Development Forum and the 47th Meeting of the OPEC Fund Ministerial Council, held June 23-24, 2026 in Vienna, Austria, under the theme "A Transition That Empowers Our Tomorrow." In his opening speech, Aljadaan stressed that development challenges now require building economies resilient to global shocks and improving supply chain resilience, and said development finance institutions (DFIs) such as the OPEC Fund play a vital role in mobilizing resources and supporting innovation. The Ministerial Council, the Fund's highest governing body, convenes annually to approve its audited financial statements and annual activity reports.
