The Ministry of Finance welcomed the press release issued by IMF staff following the conclusion of the 2026 Article IV Consultation with Saudi Arabia, which underscored the resilience of the Saudi economy amid regional developments, citing real GDP growth of 4.5% in 2025, continued non-oil activity, positive labor market indicators, and inflation slowing to below 2%. IMF staff noted the economy's solid buffers, including low government debt, ample reserves, the Public Investment Fund's strong financial position, and banking sector resilience, and commended the Saudi Central Bank's prudential measures. The release also welcomed the Public Investment Fund's updated 2026–2030 strategy and affirmed that reforms under Saudi Vision 2030 have strengthened governance and supported economic diversification.
