"Commerce": Recall of More Than 5,000 "Chevrolet", "GMC", and "Cadillac" Vehicles Due to Engine Component Defect

The Ministry of Commerce announced the recall of 5,309 Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles (2021-2024 models) due to an internal engine defect (connecting rod and/or crankshaft) that may cause engine damage and loss of propulsion while driving, increasing the risk of an accident, as of 14 Muharram 1447 AH. Affected owners were asked to contact General Motors, Al Jomaih Automotive, or Universal Motors Agencies for an engine inspection, preventive action, or engine replacement if needed. Vehicle chassis numbers can be checked via the Recalls.sa portal.
