The Ministry of Commerce clarified the requirements for the annual confirmation of company Commercial Register data, dated 28 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1446 AH. The conditions are that the Commercial Register must be active, foreign companies must hold a valid investment licence with at least 30 days remaining, and data-update requirements for the main Commercial Register must be met if an update is involved. Confirmation is completed electronically via the Business Platform (business.sa) under the new Commercial Register Regulation, one year after the register's initial entry date. Failure to confirm within 90 days of the due date results in suspension of the register, and if confirmation is not completed within one year of suspension, the register entry is struck off.
