"Commerce": More than 17,000 inspection visits in Mecca and Medina coinciding with the approaching holy month of Ramadan

The Ministry of Commerce's inspection teams conducted 17,582 inspection visits to commercial establishments and sales outlets in the Mecca and Medina regions from 1 Rajab to 5 Shaban 1447 AH, ahead of Ramadan and the arrival of pilgrims and visitors. Inspections covered central markets, hypermarkets, sales outlets, gold and jewelry shops, fuel stations on roads to Mecca and Medina, and Ihram sites. The visits found high availability of consumer goods and food stock, compliance of products with approved standards, and compliance of establishments with consumer protection regulations.
