The Ministry of Commerce announced a recall of 4,657 vehicles — Chevrolet Traverse (2014–2017) and GMC Acadia (2014–2016) — due to a defect in the driver-side airbag inflator that may cause the airbag to rupture and expel sharp metal fragments during a collision, posing a risk of death or injury. Owners are urged to immediately stop driving the affected vehicles and contact General Motors at 8008200048, Al-Jomaih Automotive at 8007525252, or Al-Tawkilat Al-Alamiya at 8002442244 for free repairs. Vehicle eligibility can be verified via the defective-product recall portal at Recalls.sa. The announcement was dated 22 Rabi' Al-Thani 1447 AH.
