Ministry of Commerce Clarifies Compliance Rates with the Ten Standards in the Evaluation of E-Commerce Stores

The Ministry of Commerce disclosed compliance rates of 100 e-commerce stores evaluated in the first phase against ten standards: 100% compliance for a secure, high-quality website; 99% for accessible customer service channels; 99% for a return/refund policy; 96%-91% for four standards covering consumer data/privacy protection, shipping rights and duties policy, and display of commercial registration and tax numbers with licenses; and 79%-75% for three standards covering complaint-handling policy, registration with the Saudi Business Center, and documentation of the store link in the commercial register.
