"Commerce": More than 6,700 inspection visits to school supplies retail outlets

The Ministry of Commerce's inspection teams conducted 6,737 inspection visits to school supplies retail outlets — including bookstores and stationery shops — across all regions of the Kingdom between 18–28 August 2025, coinciding with the start of the new academic year. The visits aimed to raise compliance rates and protect consumers by verifying product availability, correct price labelling and shelf-price consistency, clear Arabic-language product information, and the regularity of discounts, promotional offers, and competitions.
