"Commerce" Seizes More Than 4 Million Counterfeit Tobacco Products
"التجارة" ضبط أكثر من 4 ملايين من منتجات التبغ المغشوشة
Ministry of Commerce inspection teams seized a residential villa north of Riyadh that had been converted by six illegal workers of Asian nationality into a factory manufacturing counterfeit tobacco products. The raid uncovered more than 4 million counterfeit tobacco items, including vape products and 'Dazzed' cigarette substitutes, along with 13 manufacturing and packaging machines. The violating workers were referred to the competent authorities and the premises closed under the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law, which the ministry noted provides for penalties of up to three years imprisonment, fines of up to SAR 1 million, or both, publicizing violators' names, and deporting violating workers.
