Saudi Arabia's National Program for Combating Commercial Concealment conducted 4,479 inspection visits across the Kingdom's regions during February 2026, based on suspicion indicators. The visits targeted sectors including retail sale of carpets, dates, electronics, food markets, poultry and eggs, and hotel/restaurant equipment, and led to 132 initial suspicion cases referred to the competent authorities. Penalties under the anti-concealment system include imprisonment of up to five years, fines of up to five million riyals, and confiscation of illicit funds after final judicial rulings, plus ancillary penalties such as closing the establishment, revoking the commercial registration, and deporting those involved.
