The National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment Conducts 2,611 Inspection Visits During the Month of March

The National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment conducted 2,611 inspection visits across various regions of the Kingdom during March 2026, based on indicators and signs of suspected concealment, targeting retail activities including precious metals and gemstones, nuts/coffee/spices, bakery and confectionery products, perfumes, fresh and preserved fruits and vegetables, and bags. The visits identified 71 initial cases of suspected concealment, with violators referred to the competent authorities. Penalties under the anti-concealment system include imprisonment of up to five years, a fine of up to five million riyals, and seizure and confiscation of illicit funds, in addition to secondary penalties such as closure of the establishment, liquidation of the activity, and deportation of those concealed for from the Kingdom.
