The Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Financial Investigations and the Permanent Committee for Combating Terrorism and its Financing, held a virtual workshop on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, for businesses operating in precious metals and gemstones. The workshop, attended by 40 representatives of companies and establishments in the sector, covered mechanisms for reporting suspicious transactions, improving report quality, registration steps on the "Taqassi" platform, and requirements related to targeted financial sanctions and terrorism-financing risk assessment.
