Commencement of Implementation of the Decision Prohibiting Outdoor Work under Direct Sunlight Effective 15 June

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health announced the start of implementation of the decision banning outdoor work under direct sunlight at all private sector establishments, from Monday, 15 June 2026 until Tuesday, 15 September 2026, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Ministry stated that compliance with the decision reached 94% in 2025, and called on employers to organize work hours and apply preventive measures including drinking water, rest areas, shaded zones, and personal protective equipment. Violations can be reported via the Ministry's unified number 19911 or its smart-device app.
