"Environment": SAR 400 Million in Investments to Accelerate Transformation and Innovation in the Saudi Alliance for Agriculture and Food Technologies

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture held the annual forum of the Saudi Alliance for Agriculture and Food Technologies (SAFTA) at its headquarters in Riyadh, under the patronage of Deputy Minister Engineer Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti. The alliance, described as a national platform comprising more than 133 entities from 12 countries, reported that the research, development, and innovation project portfolio of its private-sector members exceeded SAR 400 million during its first year. The forum also saw the signing of five memoranda of understanding exceeding SAR 400 million to strengthen public-private cooperation in agricultural and food innovation, and the announcement of five new members joining the alliance.
