International Experts Affirm During Saudi Water Week the Importance of Integrating Water and Land Management to Enhance Drought Resilience

خبراء دوليون يؤكدون خلال أسبوع المياه السعودي أهمية دمج إدارة المياه والأراضي لتعزيز الصمود أمام الجفاف

International experts and officials affirmed, during a high-level dialogue session titled "Innovation for Tomorrow: Pathways to Sustainable Water and Land Use" organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture as part of Saudi Water Week 2026, that building resilience to drought requires an integrated approach linking water, land, agriculture, finance, innovation and public policy to support water and food security and sustainable development. Participants included Deputy Minister of Environment Dr. Osama Faqeeha, Middle East Green Initiative Secretary-General Ibrahim Al-Turki, and representatives of UNDP, the World Bank, FAO and IWMI, who discussed integrating drought preparedness into national development plans.
