Minister of Environment Launches "Namaa".. The First Endowment Fund for Achieving Environmental, Water, and Agricultural Sustainability in the Kingdom

The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, launched the "Namaa" Endowment Fund, described as the first endowment fund for achieving environmental, water, and agricultural sustainability in Saudi Arabia. The fund aims to enhance the sustainability of the non-profit sector within the Ministry's ecosystem, support economic and social development targets, and raise the non-profit sector's contribution to GDP, in alignment with Vision 2030. The General Authority for Endowments, the Capital Market Authority, and Al Ahli Financial are named as partners supporting the fund, with the General Authority for Endowments announcing an initial contribution of 100 million riyals. The fund targets initiatives covering water provision, water resource conservation, afforestation, biodiversity, circular economy, agriculture, irrigation, and reduction of food waste, channelled through the civil institutions Reef Al-Ahliya, Muruj Al-Ahliya, and Siqaya Al-Ahliya.
